Incredible Puff Pastry Nibbles
This recipe is a definite party pleaser and a winner on all fronts: it tastes wonderful, it looks homemade, it is as easy to make as can be, and it is even low in fat. What else could you ask for in a party snack?!
Warning: these nibbles will disappear the minute you put them on the table!
Ingredients
- 1.1 lb Puff pastry sheets
- 1 lb cottage cheese (I am typically using the 1% fat version, but any type will do)
- 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled (optional)
- 2 eggs
- 1 oz dry onion soup mix (1 bag)
- 1.5 – 3.5 oz sesame seeds
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F
- Grease a standard cookie sheet
- Roll puff pastry to size covering the cookie sheet with edges
- Perforate the pastry with a fork to prevent rising
- In a medium bowl mix eggs and onion soup mix
- Add cottage cheese and mix until uniform
- Evenly spread the blend over pastry
- Crumble feta cheese on top
- Finish with a generous sprinkle of sesame seeds
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden-brown
- Cool down for a few minutes before cutting
- Cut and serve as bite size appetizers or a light dinner main course
It does not get easier than that! Just put it in the oven when the first guests arrive, and you have an amazing smelling house by the time all are there. And be careful not to finish them in the kitchen as you “taste to see it is done”…

I love this dish!
It is very hard to leave a substantial amount for the guests since the kids consume it the minute it leaves the oven…
