To follow a gluten-free diet, you must avoid wheat and some other grains while choosing substitutes that provide nutrients for a healthy diet.
For our small batch Wednesday Meals production we can substitute GF grains to pasta or couscous; use gluten free flours when cooking, like thickening a gravy with tapioca flour instead of wheat flour; even if we forgot to offer an alternative in our online listing, please communicate with us to verify what can be done.
For our Personal Chef clients, the food is always as defined with your customer profile, so if we are aware you eat gluten free foods, that’s all that we will cook for you!
We believe in a balanced diet, and avoiding ingredients only if you are allergic to them, or they are against your beliefs, morals or conscious. Eating gluten free is essential if you are with Celiac disease, gluten or wheat sensitivity, or with autoimmune condition that is triggered by gluten. If you suffer from any of these conditions, or decided to eat GF by choice, please remember to balance your diet with other foods. When you take wheat out of your diet you are creating the risk of deficit in Iron, Calcium, Fiber, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, and Folate.
