A Winter update from Chef Mesilati and Palette Dome Cuisine.
6 more weeks of winter said Punxsutawney Phil, yet we were ready for him here at Palette Dome Cuisine. And we can help you be ready as well! Though, we must admit, this sunny week makes us wonder how accurate was Phil.
First winter warmer is our UberEATS luncheon service. Yes, you heard right: hummus, tabbouleh, grass-fed beef meatballs, free range chicken salad, free range chicken nuggets, and yes, pumpkin ginger soup are all available on UberEATS lunch service, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. All you need to do is install the app on your smartphone, and start browsing for what you are having for lunch. We know we are one of many options, but hope you will give us a chance to show you how even for lunch Palette Dome Cuisine shines. Please feel free to share what favorite items you would like to find on the service as well. We aim to please!
Second winter warmer is the upcoming Union Kitchen Tasting, coming up on Saturday, March 4th, between 4PM to 7PM. There is no formal web page just yet, so if you would like to secure your place among the visitors please email @ChefMesilati directly, so he can add you to the list and share with you the updates as they arrive from Union Kitchen.
This time we will have signature items for sale, not just to taste, so come hungry, and plan on getting your dinner with us at Union Kitchen Ivy City.
Third winter warmer, still in the making, but hopefully here very soon, we are working on having our Hummus available on a regular basis through the Union Kitchen DC distribution channels. It was a request we got over and over again, and with growing our workforce we can finally accommodate this request.
Fourth winter warmer is a summer remanent that is forming into another favorite. Rachel’s Harissa, better known as North African Hot Sauce, made from all organic peppers and garlic, is well stocked on our shelves, and we are in process of packaging samples. Some samples will be available at the Union Kitchen tasting, and others will be distributed between our loyal customers with their regular deliveries. This is a HOT family recipe that gained a lot of fans, and we hope you will become one as well.
Last but not least is a sneak peek into our experimental kitchen. With the numerous requests we receive for gluten-free items, we are hard at work trying to perfect our gluten-free puff pastry and gluten-free pie crust; if you are someone who would be interested in using / purchasing these items we would love to hear from you and provide some samples for feedback.
