Oven Baked Chicken Wings

Crispy, tasty oven baked chicken wings that people always ask for more. Nice quantity for a party of 4 as an appetizer, but for a bigger crowd make sure you double or triple quantities.

Total Time 1 hour 30 minutes
Servings 4 appetizer portions

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Lbs. chicken wings
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. ketchup
  • 1/2 C. tamari sauce
  • 1/2 C. honey
  • 6 Cloves garlic minced
  • 1 Tbsp. ginger minced
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Prep wings: cut off and discard wing tip, cut the remaining wings in 2 parts.
  • In a big bowl mix all other ingredients to a smooth consistency.
  • Add wing parts and mix well to cover. Let marinate for 30 minutes to 3 hours. Keep refrigerated.
  • Heat oven to 375F (350F with fan).
  • Arrange wings on a greased/lined baking dish, pouring remaining marinade on top.
  • Bake for 35 to 45 minutes until chicken is done and skin is caramelized.

Notes

Gluten Free recipe. If gluten is not a concern, use soy sauce instead of tamari sauce
